regretting errors and error of regret

it’s funny…sometimes some of us spend ages trying to numb one emotion after the other, only much later in life, somewhere beyond the age of 18 or 19, trying to reawaken senses…and with every reawakening we come to realize that it’s not enough…we need to reawaken more…

we come to realize that we need to feel more…that we stood too far from owning the fact that we are human…

one of the toughest emotions or feelings to really own, is that we were wrong…that we really shouldn’t have numbed those emotions…and one of the toughest feelings to reawaken is the acceptance of regret…

the mind is magnificent, flexible, malleable…be it in the state of physiological brain damage, or in what in the state of what is generally accepted as normal…

and then i came across this woman…this woman who speaks of owning something that i would say, is fundamental to being human…

Kathryn Shulz – don’t regret regret

it’s such a cliche of a quote…’don’t regret’…there’s a reason why we barely ever achieve it….because it’s not possible…at leas this is what i’ve learnt from experience…and i know i haven’t lived very long to write experience in ‘caps-lock’…but i got an adequate amount, i believe to say so…Nike may say, ‘nothing is impossible’..and they are not wrong…but when impossible reaches that point in the spectrum of what it is to be human where it really is not freaking possible because if you need to reach that point you need to literally dehumanize yourself…then maybe it’s alright to label it as ‘impossible’ suck it up and accept that you really don’t know it all…that you still got a lot to learn…a lot of wisdom to acquire…

and then she says this…. kathryn shulz – on being wrong

part of wisdom i think, is about accepting you are and can be wrong…

part of wisdom is being stupid, innocent, and curious,,,,

part of owning your age, is owning your childishness…

“i err therefore i am “…brought a smile to my face…
